New Dorp Moravian Church is located at the corners of Richmond and Todt Hill Roads in the New Dorp section of Staten Island, NY, adjacent to the historic Moravian Cemetery.

 

We are an active and growing congregation. We invite you to join us for any of our

New Dorp is a congregation of the Moravian Church in America, Northern Province.

  

 

   "Summer" Schedule beings May 18th 

 

     Starting with Confirmation on May 18th, we have several Special

     Sundays being planned. To avoid confusion of switching back and forth

     between one and two services, it was decided start the "Summer

     Schedule a little earlier this year. From now through Labor Day,

     there will be just One Service at 10:00 AM. For the next few weeks

     Sunday School will begin at 9:00 AM in the Parish House.

 

 

 

 

                             

  Confirmation Sunday 

                      May 18th

 

    On Sunday, May 18th, 5 of our youth will be making their Confirmation of Faith. This is a great day of

    celebration for them, and for us as a congregation. Join us as Matthew Ciccone, Paul Meyer, Kristin

    Passburg, Jack Traut, and Dylan Zipf make their Confirmation of Faith.

             

             

      

 

  

                                                           Youth Sunday - June 8th
 
                    The Youth of our congregation will be leading us in worship on Sunday, June 8th. They will be reading
                    Scriptures, sharing their music, collecting the offering and more. Following the service, you are invited
                    to view their Art Gallery of craft items and photographs from this year of classes.
 
 
 
 
 
 
          Family Fest - June 8th
 
         A special Family Fest celebration is also planned for June 8th. A picnic-style lunch is planned,
         which will be followed by games, activities, and entertainment. More details will be coming soon.
         Tickets for the event will go on sale Sunday, May 18th.  Proceeds from Family Fest will be
         going toward the Organ/Sanctuary Project Fund.
 
 
 
 
 

                                                        We're (almost) Under Construction

 

The plans have been submitted to the City and the request for permits have been filed. We're in the process of getting

cost estimates and bids so that contracts can be awarded. If everything continues at our current place, work on our

project could start in June.  Rooms have been re-designed, the sanctuary is getting a major upgrade with new lighting, new sound system, new video options, handicap accessibility is being addressed ... not to mention a fantastic new pipe organ!  So, it's really happening. After waiting, and waiting ...... and waiting, we're almost there.
