Community Groups
New Dorp Moravian is "home" for several community groups that use our facilities. They are not affiliated with the church,
but they welcome your participation. Below is a partial list of these Community Groups. For more information about these

Alcoholics Anonymous
Three AA groups meet weekly in the Parish House here at New Dorp Moravian. They meet:
Tuesdays 8:00-10:00 PM
Fridays 8:00-10:00 PM
Sundays 8:00-10:00 PM

Staten Island Project Homefront
Staten Island Project Homefront is a community group that regularly ships out "care packages" to soldiers currently
deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan. Every 6-8 weeks, over 200 boxes of everything from personal care items for the soldiers to dog treats for the K-9 corp are boxed, sealed and shipped out of the Conference Center basement. For more information
Staten Island Ballroom Dancers
This community group meets every Thursday night at 7:00pm in the Parish House auditorium.
Brownies and Girl Scouts
Girls in K-3rd Grade are invited to join a troop that meets in the Parish House at 3:00pm on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of
each month.

Richmond Choral Society Youth Chorus
The Richmond Choral Society Youth Chorus is the junior division of the Richmond Choral Society. Young singers encounter
a variety of fun and challenging musical experiences and receive instruction in vocal production, music literacy, and concert performance. The RCSYC recruits members from 4th through 12th grades. The Youth Chorus rehearses every wednesday in the Parish Hall from 4:15-6:30pm, from September through the end of May. Rehearsals follow the public school calendar.
Blanton-Peale Counseling Center
Counselors from this agency are available to meet with you. Consultations are done on an appointment basis.

Staten Island Quilters
This group is for anyone interested in learning more about the art of quilting. In addition to meeting at 10:00am on
the First Wednesday of the month, this group also hosts an annual quilt show here at the Church.
